MyIPS

Take control of your health info

MyIPS is a mobile app that lets you create, maintain, and share a personal health summary based on the International Patient Summary (IPS) standard and the HL7® FHIR® standard R4 specifications. The summary can be read by clinical systems around the world, making it useful in emergencies, when travelling, or when moving between healthcare providers. All data is stored in an encrypted database on your device — there is no account, no server, and nothing is transmitted unless you explicitly share it.

Why MyIPS?

The health system generates heaps of electronic data about your care. But this valuable health info may be scattered across settings, it’s usually controlled by someone else (such as health providers, payers, or government agencies), and it may be incorrect or incomplete. It’s hard to bring all that info into one place, correct or clarify it, and add your own perspective.

It’s also hard to share critical health info with caregivers. We fill out endless intake forms, we repeat our health concerns and previous treatment to each new staff member. In an emergency when we can’t speak for ourselves, we only hope a health worker can find the important info they need to help us.
